A RECORD crowd attended the second No Vacancy acommodation industry conference in Sydney recently.

It was a great day featuring industry leaders, panels, case studies, presentations and debate.

There was a touch of controversy with hard questions asked - and answered.

Program topics included online distribution, consumer trends, channel and yield management, carbon offsetting, star ratings, modern marketing tactics, pricing, social media strategies and plenty more.

Gary Knowles
Global CEO, Roamfree Group

Gary has fourteen years of post qualification experience in the travel, retail, finance and wholesale industries with exposure to operations of a broad spectrum of organizations both locally and internationally. Gary successfully completed an Honours degree in the Bachelor of Accounting Science majoring in Finance, Tax and Economics. Gary is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA). In 1996, Gary joined RCI South Africa as Finance Director. By the end of 1998, Gary was responsible for Finance and Group Development – Africa. From his position of Executive Director, Group Development – Africa, Gary was promoted in 2003 to head up the RCI and Hotel Dynamics businesses for the Pacific Region. As the SVP and Managing Director for the Pacific region, Gary was also a key executive of the Asia Pacific team who were responsible for driving growth in the broader region. He joined Roamfree as Global CEO in 2007.
