MOBILE is no longer on the fringe – the iPhone has changed everything. Now travel technology giant Sabre is moving strongly into the space with the launch of a free mobile travel planning application called TripCase which can be downloaded onto Blackberry devicesĀ and iPhones. It allows users to plan, share and manipulate their trip. Features include live updates on flight delays, cancellations and gate changes; security wait times, baggage claim information, hotel and car rental. Its TripLog function allows sharing of travel experiences, information, photos and plans. Further details at: www.tripcase.com. Sabre is also a founding shareholder of another mobile trip planning and sharing application, TripIt.com.

The theme for TRAVELtech 2010 is New Kind of Normal.
It means that thanks to the collision between economic reality and technology, things have changed, finally, forever.
There can be no going back. And existing patterns will be exaggerated.
Also returning is the TRAVELtech Website Awards. Little different this year, more categories.
Stay Tuned.
