Webjet Turnover Up 50%, Accor Discounts With 'Super Sale'

TURNOVER is up more than 50% at Australian OTA Webjet for October. "Whilst overall industry and economic data remains uncertain it is clear our current marketing activities are resulting in a trend which is massively better than the general travel market," said Managing Director David Clarke. Meanwhile, Accor, Asia Pacific's biggest hotelier, is offering one million rooms starting at just A$58 for the next couple of days. The word is that while markets such as Australia are performing relatively well, many remain weak. NB: The Accor sale was originally for three days but has just been extended by a further 24 hours.
