Wotif Dives Into Travel Activities, Buys GoDo.com.au

skydiving_tandemOnline accommodation powerhouse Wotif.com has moved into the travel activities arena with the purchase of GoDo.com.au from RedBalloon Group, owned by high profile entrepreneur Naomi Simson and husband Peter.  The purchase amount has not been disclosed.

GoDo.com.au, described a “real time booking service for ‘things to do’ “, has a strong technology platform that’s allowed it to achieve scale with just five staff. Affiliate marketing is big part of its sales and distribution strategy.

One of its major affiliates is the Wotif-owned Lastminute.com.au, giving Wotif a great insight into the business potential. Other distribution partners include Virgin Blue, News Digital Media, Lonely Planet, ninemsn and TimeOut. GoDo.com.au has more than 1000 suppliers and sells more than 2000 products ranging from skydiving to cooking classes.
