RAMPANT travel discounting is driving people online to source the best deal. 

Google reports that Australian travel web searches through its search engine were 28% higher in March 2009 than a year earlier.

Airlines enjoyed the biggest increase – queries up 38% year on year. Accommodation (+24%) and cruise (+29%) were also strong.
