Two of the world’s biggest tourism cities, London and Barcelona, experienced dramatically different fortunes during August.  Hotel demand in London grew 7.5% but Barcelona hoteliers said negativity about the city caused by political unrest and residents rebelling against over-tourism caused hotel revenue to drop 20%, mainly due to discounting.
