It’s just emerged that Sydney travel technology company Booking Boss was sold in mid-2017 to Helix Leisure, a company associated with early investor and ex-Wotif CEO Scott Blume, now Managing Director of Timezone Group and based in Singapore.
Both Timezone and Helix Lesiure are owned by the Leisure and Allied Industries Group.
Blume was among several investors who pumped $2m into Booking Boss in June, 2015. He joined Timezone in October, 2016.
Booking Boss operates a subscription based business model and offers booking and ticketing software for the tours, activities and attraction industry.
Founders Renee and Andy Welsh remain involved with the business.
Meanwhile, Quadrant Private Equity bought 50% of the Timezone Group late last year.
The funds will be used to accelerate expansion of the ‘arcade entertainment’ business, which has more than 200 outlets across Australasia and Asia.
Leisure and Allied Industries Group is owned by the Steinberg family from Perth.
