Discovery Parks has created Australia’s biggest holiday park network by buying the Top Parks brand and entering into a licencing agreement with its members.
Under the deal Top Parks members will remain independently owned but form part of the Discovery Parks network, which will now comprise 220 properties.
Discovery Parks CEO Grant Wilckens said both brands will be retained, ensuring differentiation between company owned and licensed parks.
“The deal will provide licensed parks with access to Discovery Parks’ greater purchasing power as Australia’s largest park owner-operator, as well as our digital marketing expertise,” Wilckens said.
“It’s the logical next step for Discovery.”
