NRMA has continued its aggressive acquisition spree, buying Fantasea Cruising as  part of the motoring  membership group’s strategy “to become Australia’s largest provider of transport and tourism services”.

Fantasea follows the NRMA’s purchase of Manly Fast Ferries last year and triples its Sydney Harbour fleet, adding 10 ferries and 10 water taxis.

“Today’s acquisition will provide the NRMA with capacity to potentially broaden its ferry services to other parts of the city, including West Quay (Sydney Olympic Park) and improve the commute for residents living along Sydney’s waterways,” NRMA Group CEO Rohan Lund.

NRMA also owns 44 Holiday Parks, Thrifty Car Rentals, Travelodge and Hotel Kurrajong.
