Jeff Lewis, part of the TripAdvisor diaspora, has joined as a Non Executive Director.

Flotespace Founder and CEO Hugh Treseder says Lewis, the former VP of Technology and Strategic Initiatives at TripAdvisor, has been brought on board to help the company scale.

“We are delighted to have Jeff join the team and believe he will add enormous value to our business. We have some big plans and are now at a point where we require specific senior expertise,”  Treseder said.

Founded in 2017 by Treseder and Mike McKiernan, Flotespace is a boat rental platform with inventory throughout Australia and also New Zealand.

It has international aspirations, and this is where Lewis comes in.

“I’m looking forward to having some fun helping these guys scale their business – lots of opportunities out there for them to grow,” Lewis says.

He is keen sailor who has been getting plenty of practice since leaving TripAdvisor along with about 900 other TA  staff who were made redundant earlier this year.

Lewis is also ‘Chief Nerd’ at TourismSolved – digital agency he formed with other TripAdvisor alumni from Sydney, London, San Franciso, Miami and Seattle.
