AA Pulls Orbitz Fares After Commission Dispute

North America’s largest carrier, American Airlines, has pulled its inventory from Orbitz following a breakdown in commission negotiations, sending the OTA’s share plummeting by 7%.

The fares of subsidiary US Airways will also no longer appear on Orbitz from Sept 1.

“We worked tirelessly with Orbitz to reach a deal with the economics that allow us to keep costs low and compete with low-cost carriers,” said Scott Kirby, President – American Airlines.
