Adam Schwab, 36, was a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers & acquisitions at one of Australia’s largest legal firms before becoming a founding director of privately-owned corporate accommodation and services group, Living Corporate Apartments.
In 2010, Adam founded DEALS.com.au with Jeremy Same.
Two years later DEALS. com.au acquired Ouffer to form the AussieCommerce Group.
AussieCommerce subsequently acquired Cudo, Luxury Escapes (previously Getaway Lounge) and The Gourmet (previously Meat Merchant), and in 2014 AussieCommerce bought brandsExclusive from APN News & Media.
In late 2014, the company acquired deals comparison website Spreets and leading New Zealand flash sales retailer Dailydo NZ.
The following year AussieCommerce acquired the Australian and New Zealand arm of deals website LivingSocial as well as Australia’s leading product sample distributor PINCHme and beauty box subscription Lust Have It!
The company turned over AUD$299 million in FY2016 has 400 staff and 15 websites under its umbrella and is one of Australia’s largest pureplay eCommerce groups.
Adam was also a founder of MyTable, which eventually formed part of Menulog, which was sold to JustEat in 2015 for AUD$855 million.
In 2015, Adam was named the Australian Young Executive of the Year by CEO Magazine, and Adam has been a director of the Myeloma Foundation of Australia since 2010, and has run two Melbourne Marathons (barefoot) to raise funds for the foundation.
