More aircraft, less passengers. That was again the reality for the Qantas Group in March, another tough month in Australian aviation. Passengers numbers fell 0.6% over the previous year, capacity grew 0.8% and demand (measured as revenue passenger kilometres) fell by – 5.4%. The biggest hit was taken by Qantas International services, with RPK’s down – 9.8% for the month. Jetstar International also suffered with a – 10.8% fall.
