Inbound arrivals to Australia from China slowed dramatically during November to 3.9% – the lowest growth figure recorded for this boom market in several years. The latest ABS stats show overall inbound growth for the month of 4.5% while international travel by Australians continued to grow significantly faster: 6.4%.

China has been the expansion engine for Australian inbound tourism with year on year growth rates regularly exceeding 20% and rarely falling below 10% since 2011. No reason was given for the November dip in the ABS release.
