David Keen is founder and CEO of KEEN, a global branding specialist agency driving destinations, hospitality brands and travel and tourism enterprises to the global forefront. KEEN’s portfolio of travel and tourism brands spans six continents and includes some of the biggest names in hospitality in Asia Pacific and beyond.
Born in London and educated in New York, David began in his career in hospitality and journalism in Asia over 20 years ago before applying his extensive experience towards developing a unique approach to brand-building. KEEN’s own process creates each brand as a culture, with a unique language, customs, politics and spaces.
Since its launch in 1997, Keen’s Bangkok-based studio has grown exponentially and now comprises 90 of the most creative minds in the industry – brand strategists, writers, editors, photographers, print and digital designers, and media buyers. KEEN has gained recognition and respect around the world for its innovative design, cutting-edge hospitality and travel market insight, and strategic process for building powerful brands.
From strategy and conception to brand application and execution, Keen has worked with a global portfolio of hospitality brands including Accor, Anantara, Jumeirah Group and Onyx (Amari), to United Nations agencies such as UNICEF and UNDP; to pioneers of medical tourism like Bumrungrad International, and to travel and tourism entities including Brunei Tourism, The Tourism Council of Bhutan, the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
