Hotel Okura LobbyInfluential members of the global design community are rallying against the imminent destruction of the Hotel Okura Tokyo. Built in 1962 and regarded as an architectural icon, it’s slated for demolition this month.  See WSJ story.

Update 2/9/15:  A closing ceremony was held at the hotel on Monday and demolition is scheduled for the main building next month. In its place a 500+ room will be built.
