Expedia’s corporate travel subsidiary, Egencia, has bought Travelforce, one of Australasia’s largest travel management companies. Travelforce, founded 30 years ago by Andrew Ross, has a traditional TMC business model with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington. Some Travelforce management jobs will be lost and the new business will be called Travelforce, an Egencia Company. Ken Pfaffmann, currently Egencia’s Australian manager, will take on the role of Managing Director. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
