Starwood confirmed yesterday that it has won the management rights to a new 297-room Sydney property branded Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park.
Due to open in 2018, Starwood’s joint venture partners in the project are Frasers Property Australia and Sekisui House Australia.
The property will have a great location in the bustling Central Park near Central Station on the edge of Chippendale and Broadway.
It’s also a major educational hub with University of Technology of Sydney across the road while the University of Sydney is just a few minutes away.
The news comes one week after it was revealed Starwood had lost management rights for Sydney’s biggest hotel, the Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour.
Andrew Taylor, Director, Acquisitions and Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Pacific, said Four Points brand has “the largest pipeline in Starwood’s portfolio”.
“Four Points recently reached 200 hotels globally and continues to experience strong growth around the world,” he said.
