Ian Cumming, Travellr.com smallerSerial entrepreneur Ian Cumming has put his latest creation, GetFlight, an airfare search engine, up for sale. “I’ve decided to put GetFlight on the market as I am launching a new venture in China and working on growing Travel Massive,” Ian said. Ian said that he doesn’t have the time or money to grow GetFlight, which he built himself.

Since launching a year ago, “GetFlight has more than 9,000 alert subscriptions, generated more than 60,000 search enquiries directly into OTAs and Airline booking engines, monitored more than 66,000 unique sale airfares in the Australian market, and delivered more than 390,000 airfare alerts to subscribers.

“The site has steady direct traffic and ongoing signups.

“I invested more than a year’s development time into GetFlight with a desire to prove that both user experience and distribution channels can be innovated upon in the Australian market place (for example by launching www.wherecanigo.com.au).

“Under the hood, GetFlight is a white-label platform, and I believe it can provide a significant value opportunity to an OTA or travel agency as a means of increasing distribution and engagement of airfare products across social and mobile channels.”

Get Flight earns money by directing deal traffic traffic to OTAs.
