Growth Slows In 2016 for SEA Budget Carriers

The spectacular fleet growth of Low Cost Carriers in Southeast Asia – clocked at 50% since the beginning of 2013 – will slow to a relative 10% crawl this year, the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation predicts. CAPA says there are now 21 LCCs in Southeast Asia operating 600 aircraft and that growth will be fastest in the less penetrated medium haul segment. See story.
