Retailer Helloworld has copped plenty of stick for its weird web strategy (exhibit one – killing its most successful online property, Best Flights) however it has now launched a new app that’s won immediate acclaim.
Hard to to believe that it’s the same crew which terminated Best Flights and replaced it with the no-frills Helloworld.com.au, which has so far failed to gain meaningful traction (#93 in the 2014 Hottest 100).
Its new App on the other hand has got off to s strong start.
Helloworld said it has been named by iTunes as one of its ‘Best Travel Apps’.
Jeremy Reitman, CEO of helloworld.com.au, said: “It is the first of many exciting developments to be announced by the digital team at helloworld,” he said.
“Being acknowledged by iTunes only a week after our app launched on iOS is an incredible achievement,” he said.
The app allows consumers to a search and book cars, hotels and flights.
“There’s no online booking fees, customers save more by booking flights and hotels together, and we provide a hotel price promise.
“Travellers have access to their travel itineraries anytime, anywhere, can browse using a range of search options with 24/7 customer support,” said Mr Reitman, who claimed that bookings can be made in under 30 seconds.
The Helloworld App is available on iOS and Android.
