Strong demand has propelled Sydney and Singapore hotels to record performance levels during October. In Sydney, 0ccupancy was up 4.7% to 88.4%, average daily rate grew 7.7% to AUD210.45 while revenue per available room rose 12.8% to AUD185.97. “Sydney posted the highest levels in all three performance measures since STR Global started recording data for this market,” said Elizabeth Winkle, MD of STR Global.
Meanwhile, Singapore enjoyed its best monthly occupancy (85.8%) since 2007. she said. Average room rate was flat at SGD300 while RevPAR grew 3% to SGD258.
