Travel is his passion—at 35 years of age, Lenny’s been lucky enough to explore almost every continent and localities as diverse as Zimbabwe, Botswana, the Greek islands, Mauritius, Swaziland, Israel, Jordan, Jamaica, Mexico, Japan and China.
In August 2010, Lenny bought a small walk-in travel agency at Loganholme, QLD, a failing business that would have closed its doors within three months.
His dream was to combine travel obsession with IT know-how to deliver an innovative, truly customer-centric online booking system. BYOjet (Book Your Own Jet) was born.
An industry leader in online travel technologies, BYOjet has an enormous competitive advantage over major international players and booking directly with one airline.
It begins with the customer, reworks its processes according to customer needs, then delivers customer service excellence. Since then, Lenny won the state QCme! Award at the Travelscene American Express National Consultants Conference in August 2011, a mere twelve months after he bought the business—then backed this achievement up with another win in 2013.
In Darwin, New Zealand and Singapore, BYOjet’s booking engine comes to life and meets customers in an interactive space; these are Australia and New Zealands’s first multi-channel distribution model stores.
Today BYOjet has over 40 staff members and is now a top ten Australian travel agency website (Experian 2013).
