Malaysia Airlines bookings have rebounded in Australasia, its main international market, after being decimated by the recent shooting of MH17 following the disappearance of MH370.

Its load factors are now above 70% on flights leaving Australia and New Zealand thanks to super cheap deals and increased travel agent commissions.

Regional Senior Vice President Lee Poh Kait also attributed the resilient consumer demand “a positive community sentiment during turbulent times”.
