Mantra Group met expectations though didn’t exceed them in its first result as a public company, growing revenue 4.9% and posting a pre-tax profit AUD62.4m, in line with forecasts, for the 13/14 financial year.

Looking ahead, CEO Bob East said leisure-focused Mantra – its 114 property portfolio is loaded with Queensland coastal resorts and apartments – is targetting growth by driving more corporate and direct bookings.

Increasing mobile capability, social media and website optimisation are also priorities while Mantra wants to buy more properties in “key CBD and leisure destinations in Australia, NZ Southeast Asia.”

Mantra Group operates Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree.
