Matteo Zanarini, IATA

Matteo has over 27 years industry experience having worked in the Airline industry in Australia, Europe and Asia where he has held senior management positions in airline sales and marketing.

After 14 years living overseas, Matteo returned back to Australia in February 2009, where he commenced employment with the Australian branch of the International Air Transport Association in Sydney.

Matteo works within IATA’s Industry Distribution and Financial Services (IDFS) division and holds the position of Manager Passenger Services South West Pacific.

Within the scope of IDFS Matteo’s responsibilities extend to managing IATA and NON-IATA Airline relationships, overseeing the airline remittance and settlement system BSP (Bank Settlement Plan) as well as administering the Agency Programme for some 1400 Passenger and Cargo IATA accredited locations in the region.

Matteo is also on the Advisory Board of Service Skills Australia, where he has been involved in the updating of the Tourism and Hospitality Training Package.
