Snowy Mountains Tourism has launched a $350,000, 100% digital winter marketing campaign – ‘Go Snowhere Else’ – targetting first-time skiers and boarder, families and ‘young groups of friends’.

The season-long campaign, funded by local resorts (Perisher, Thredbo, Charlottes Pass, Mt Selwyn) and Destination NSW, mixes tactical display advertisements, seeded video, social media, search engine marketing, search engine optimisation and database targeting.

“The aim is to capture bookings,” said TSM Executive Officer Neil Thew, adding that all advertising links back to a dedicated deals page.

“The campaign is supported by $100,000 from the Regional Visitor Economy Fund, administered by Destination NSW, and matched by each of the ski resorts.”

It is estimated the NSW alpine resorts generate $1.2 billion in spending each year, supporting 9000 jobs.
