Jeremy van de Klundert has been appointed to the newly-created role of Managing Director for Sabre Pacific. His career history includes five years with Travelport in Europe, three years with Flight Centre and more recently five years in senior positions with International SOS in Asia Pacific.
“There’s a lot happening in travel distribution and I’m keen to jump back in and look at what we can do with the latest technology and development roadmap for operators in Australia and New Zealand,” Mr van de Klundert said.
“The company culture has impressed me in that it is based much more on collaboration and that’s essential to growth in the travel and tech sectors. It will help us scale.”
“Managing Director is a new role (parent company) Abacus has created with a wide brief to take the business forward.
“We’ll be looking at all aspects of the industry to see what we can do differently and better, specifically in this part of the world.”
He replaces Gai Tyrell, who left Sabre Pacific earlier this year. Ms Tyrell held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Sabre Pacific.
