Technology and the need to develop proper network capabilities beyond their limited point-to-point operations has brought together eight low cost Asia Pacific airlines to form the Value Alliance.
Integration of the technology developed by Air Black Box is now under way at all partner airlines – Tigerair Australia, Cebu Pacific, Jeju Air, Nok Air, NokScoot, Scoot, Tigerair Singapore and Vanilla Air – with the first bookings expected within months.
It’s the network you have when you don’t have a network and is clearly aimed at allowing members to compete with the networking capabilities of Asia Pacific LCC leader AirAsia.
TigerAir Australia CEO Rob Sharp says the technology will enable his carrier to sell connecting fares and ancillary services from all Value Alliance partners in a single transaction.
“This booking capability is expected to be available on the Tigerair Australia website in the coming months,” he said.
