Nicola Beynon holds a Masters in conservation and has a 20 year career as an advocate for wildlife protection.
One of her proudest moments is bringing a successful Australia federal court challenge against the Japanese company that hunts whales in Antarctica.
She also coordinated a campaign to have the great white shark protected from an international trade in its jaws and fins through the UN treaty that regulates trade in endangered species.
Nicola joined World Animal Protection in March 2013 and is the Head of Campaigns for the Australian office.
World Animal Protection’s Wildlife. Not Entertainers global campaign is exposing the hidden cruelties behind wildlife tourism, educating tourists and tour operators that wildlife belongs in the wild and not in entertainment venues.
