Hotel search site, based in Phuket, is on something of development tear. It’s just launched 11 new language websites with more planned in the coming months.

This follows the recent implementation of a proprietary hotel mapping function, the addition of TripAdvisor reviews, fresh payment options, a new multi-grid search option and the “Smart Deal” finder algorithm.

Alex Lotz, Managing Director of DirectRooms, said: “A team of native born speakers for each language worked on the translation and localization of the meta-search content to optimize accuracy.

“No more lost in translation for our users around the world.”

The DirectRooms web portfolio now includes German, Malay Bahasa, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Indonesian Bahasa, Dutch, Polish, Norwegian, Vietnamese and Turkish sites.

“We are keen to increase our market share in countries where travel is surging,” Mr Lotz said.

“By adding these new languages we have in effect created 11 new hotel booking websites for our global audience.”

DirectRooms is an independent global hotel price comparison website based in Asia and operating online since 2000.
