Paul Marshall, Travelzoo, 192 x 220Paul is an experienced senior digital executive, who has been leading and growing online businesses for over ten years. In that time he has managed businesses in travel, entertainment, publishing and retail.

In 2002, as CEO and Managing Director of HWW Limited, a publicly listed online and mobile publisher, Paul provided the leadership and vision to transform the business over four years into a strong-growth, profitable and innovative company – leading to its acquisition by ninemsn in 2006.

Following HWW, Paul joined Salmat Limited and founded its digital division. Here he started, an aggregated shopping portal, and over five years took it from concept to Australia’s leading and most engaged pre-shopping site.

While leading the Lasoo business, Paul also pioneered Salmat’s eCommerce business and a range of retail digital services such as catalogue viewers, smartphone applications, an aggregated group-buying site and social media integration services.

Paul is currently the Managing Director of Travelzoo (Australia) Pty Ltd, publisher of the Top 20 and a leading publisher of travel, local and entertainment deals. Travelzoo is renown for its rigorous process around deal selection, evaluation, negotiation and testing; as well as its high quality “travel-ready” subscribers.

He is recognised as a thought leader and an expert on digital media and multichannel marketing within retail, travel and media; resulting in over 25 recent conference presentations across Australia and many published articles, on topics spanning ecommerce, marketing, mobile, social, online, retail, loyalty, data and innovation.

Paul’s extensive operational and cross-functional team management experience and strong strategic leadership is complimented by a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from UNSW and an MBA from MGSM.
