The future of Perisher, Australia’s largest alpine resort, remains on hold after a review of the leasing arrangements by landlord, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, a state government body, stuck with the status quo.

Perisher management wants a Head Lease, as is the case at nearby Thredbo, allowing it to properly manage the entire resort and invest with certainty.

They’ve been trying to get various plans approved for desperately needed new base facilities and accommodation without luck for many years.

See Snowy Mountain Magazine for details.
