Rajiv Malhotra has been the Head of Marketing, South East Asia (SEA) region and India, for Hotels.com since July 2011. Based in Singapore, his responsibilities include business creation, marketing strategy and launching and managing services in Southeast Asia and India.
With over 13 years of experience in establishing and managing digital brands in India, SEA and Europe, Rajiv has developed a keen understanding of digital media business models, product development and advertising.
In his pursuit of his two passions, travel and the Internet, Rajiv has worked with some major Internet companies around the world.
These include Yahoo! in Singapore, where he served as product manager for e-commerce in SEA, as well as Indiatimes.com in India where he was responsible for managing product development.
He has also previously worked at Makemytrip.com and Yatra.com, two of India’s leading online travel companies.
Rajiv has also previously launched and marketed several online products, including the travel section of Yahoo! SEA and mobile instant messengers in Europe and APAC. He also launched the Times of India and Economic Times websites in his capacity as the senior manager of the Times of India Group.
Rajiv holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He has a wide range of interests such as photography, film making, mixing music and building model aircraft.
