Martin Symes has resigned as CEO of travel meta-search website, returned to the UK and become the company’s non-executive chairman. For some reason this news wasn’t included in a press release issued yesterday announcing that it has launched 34 new country sites in 20 different languages and the appointment of company co-founder Ross Veitch as the new CEO.

Anyway, fellow founder Craig Hewett remains Chief Operating Officer and told TTG Asia: “Martin Symes decided to leave his position as CEO due to personal commitments back home in the UK. He will still play an active role in the company as non-executive chairman, but will be making decisions at the board level, steering the direction of the company. Ross and I will handle all day-to-day operations.” See TTG story.
