Steve Sherlock Leaves oodles.com for Virgin Blue

Steve Sherlock, founder of leading car rental website Oodles.com, has sold out of the business, returned to Brisbane and started a new job as an e-commerce analyst with Virgin Blue.
A respected Aussie online travel pioneer, Steve says “the major reason is a desire to be closer to my two teenage sons in Brisbane (Oodles is Melbourne based), and a wish to continually seek out new challenges on the career front.
“I spent six great years conceiving and nurturing the Oodles business.
“During that time I learned an enormous amount about being an entrepreneur and running a successful and continually evolving online business. I could have remained and led the business as it continued to grow, but I felt that I had more to learn by immersing myself in a much larger scale e-commerce business.
As a result, I decided to hand over control to my fellow shareholders (I fully divested) and join the Virgin team in Brisbane.
“I am loving working with Virgin Blue and I think the next couple of years will be a really exciting time to be at the airlines. I am looking forward to being involved with a great team of motivated people who are aptly described as protagonists of change and competition.”
