Harvey World Travel is still struggling with the Internet. Managing Director David Rivers says that the once-mighty retail group is moving ahead by doing stuff with Facebook and Twitter (isn’t everyone?) then in the same release says a key consumer message will be: “If you want to go on the internet, you are on your own”. Which means … what? HWT head of marketing James Brodie says: “The comment from David Rivers was picking up on the general pitfalls consumers can face by just going online.” Good luck with that approach.
