Australian tourism, wine and sailing legend Bob Oatley has died aged 87 after a long illness and an extraordinary life. Mr Oatley made his first fortune growing and trading coffee in Papua New Guinea before founding Rosemount wines, which he sold for $1.5 billion. Mr Oatley then bought the faded Hamilton Island resort in the Whitsundays, Queensland, investing heavily and turning it around. Apart from family, sailing was his life-long passion. See obit.
