Travel is now the largest category in Australia’s Group Buying sector, with industry revenue, primarily from hotels and accommodation one suspects, growing 60% in the September quarter. So claims sector analyst Telsyte, which believes travel generated $35m in revenue for Group Buying sites in that period. It says the top nine group buying sites are Groupon, Scoopon, LivingSocial, Cudo, Spreets, Deals.com.au, Ourdeal, Ouffer, and GrabOne.
