Travelport now has majority ownership of Locomote, a corporate travel tech company based in Melbourne, increasing its stake to 55%.
It’s also appointed a new CEO, Sandra McLeod, replacing co-founder Philip Weinman, who becomes Vice Chairman.
McLeod is a Travelport lifer with 25 years at the company, most recently as Group Vice President for Global Accounts and Corporate Development.
Philip Emery, Travelport’s Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Chairman of Locomote.
Travelport is a major global travel technology and product distribution company that first invested in Locomote during 2013.
It did not reveal the size of its previous stake nor was an acquisition amount disclosed.
