The number of reviews on sociaal media juggernaut TripAdvisor has just hit 30m. It now has 11m members and is visted by 25m people every month. That’s power… Back in Oz, flush from the success of its Best Job In The World campaign, Tourism Queensland will revamp its brand next year under a fresh strategy tipped to create distinct identities for its key destinations (though, one assume, still linked to the new parent brand). TQ said the new approach will also include the creation of four “experience” themes: islands and beaches, natural encounters, adventure and Queensland lifestyle… Meanwhile, the growth of Jetstar continues with the carrier set to take 25 of the 50 Boeing Dreamliners Qantas has on order. The aircraft – longer-range 787-900s, will be delivered from 2013, giving those who have speculated Jetstar will outgrow its parent plenty of ammo.
