A blowout in expenses has hit TripAdvisor’s net profit for the 2nd quarter of 2015.

Its costs for the three months to June 30 reached USD326m, USD103m more than they were for the previous corresponding period.

Most of the extra expenses were marketing-related.

As a result net income fell from USD68 to USD58m.

Average monthly unique visitors grew 30% to 375 million, while the number of reviews reached 250 million.
