“It’s massive, a great little section for us,” says founder Fred Schebesta.

Finder’s strategy is to write travel stories and weave affiliate links into the copy.

It works on a click to buy model where it gets a percentage of the overall cost should a purchase be made.

Brands using it include Hilton, Virgin, Budget, STA Travel, Intrepid, British Airways, Contiki, Wotif, and Roomarama.

Mr Schebesta said many travel advertisers were already using its shopping channel so it made sense to start a separate travel vertical.

He says “two or three people from Travelzoo came across” and helped get the section started.

The Finder websites attract 2m visitors a month, according to Mr Schebesta.
